About this deal

Any instruction in a red circle tells you something you must not do - in this case, ride your bike beyond this point. Note that only riding is prohibited. You can get off your bike and push it. That’s push it, not scoot it along. Scooting a bike is something a court, should you end up there, would likely rule to be the same as cycling.

Traffic signs play a vital role in directing, informing and controlling road users’ behaviour to make the roads as safe as possible for everyone. This makes knowledge of traffic signs essential, not just for new drivers or riders needing to pass their theory test, but for all road users, including experienced professional drivers. But Ihave to say the all time most confusing is the double negative. The red circle alone means don’t, but when there is a slash through it too, does it mean No Don’t? Do 2 no’s make a yes? Are you leaving the right turn area? Maybe it means “We really really mean NO right turn”. Typically, a principal sign will be displayed near the entrance to the car park describing who the car park is for and if there are time limits on how long it is possible to stay and details of any charges or free periods that may apply. Local signage in and around the car park may provide more information including how much you will be charged if you do not comply with any of the terms and conditions for using the car park. For example, a popular sign in our range is the ‘Pedestrians Must Use This Route’ Sign. In some cases, reversing vehicles will be in an area such as a car park where there is also foot traffic. Not only will this sign guide pedestrians to the safest route, but the presence of these signs will also help to make drivers aware of pedestrians before they start manoeuvring. Educate workers and visitors on the safety procedures: Make sure that all workers and visitors are aware of the safety procedures in place for keeping pedestrians and traffic separate.

In Spain they speak Spanish, but not when it is time to stop. In Spain, you will not see a stop sign in Spain. It doesn’t say “Alto”, like you would in Mexico. Information signs are the most commonly-used road signs in Germany and are generally used to provide road users with general information about the road they are using and the road ahead.Below are a few examples of common pedestrian signs that are used in public spaces. These signs are usually available in a range of materials, including rigid plastic, Correx, self-adhesive vinyl and metal (Zintec).. Stopped in a restricted area outside a school, a hospital or a fire, police or ambulance station when prohibited. You are entering an area reserved for pedestrians; applies to all streets until you pass an “End of pedestrian zone” sign Many roads have a solid white line in the center, which you are not meant to cross. If you need to make a left turn, it is very typical for you to make a right to make your left. If it isn’t in a round about, you will often need to turn right onto a frontage road and then wait to cross over to make your left and/or U-Turn (Cambio de Sentido – change directions). Potty & Poo Stop?

Signage and markings: Signage and markings can be used to warn pedestrians and drivers of the potential hazards and to direct them to the safest routes. Pedestrian zone signs are a relatively inexpensive and easy way to improve safety, but it is important to make sure that the signs and markings are clear, visible, and well-maintained. Vehicles weighing over 3,5 tonnes are not allowed to overtake other vehicles (except bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles) A single red line has the same meaning, but only applies at the times stated on the signs that face the moving traffic.Controlled Parking Zones (or CPZ): where waiting and loading is restricted for some or all of the time. As explained in How parking is managed, car parks can be provided and managed by either a local authority or by a private parking company on behalf of the landowner.
