If this works well for someone, I would be only too happy to trade for a decent floral with aldehydes. I love this to wear as an everyday "spritz and go" type scent, its a happy scent that makes me feel clean and a little bit uplifted, I wouldn't say its something I'd wear to something like a meeting etc but it could be a nice one to wear to work during the stifling heat.I don't know if you can still purchase this version, I tried the new, limited edition and did not care for it. To be fair I haven't really worn this out, purely because it disappears before I even walk out the door but I wear it almost everyday before bed or after a shower/bath.

In 2020 a limited edition was launched (which I have not tried) which came in a pink box and removed the number 3 from the label, currently the bottle is still being sold without the number 3 on the label, without limited edition engraved on the bottle and back to its simple white box.In the hot summer months it may heat up in the sun and become even sweeter and perhaps bitter or rotten as others have stated. I think this is the perfect easy reach scent for spring/summer and for when you want to just feel clean. The temperature has cooled down to 18-23°C where I live, and this fragrance smells absolutely perfect for daily use, it is the right amount of sweet, crisp freshly cut watermelon and a tasty hint of sourness from rhubarb, joyful and carefree, it’s like an elevated fruity shampoo scent.

Seeing the reviews about watermelon body odor, I just went to smell it again and I can see how the musk and jasmin mingling with the fruits could be interpreted that way, but it’s definitely not that human body odor smell or skin smell that is in some other fragrances. Smells clean and fresh, like you just got out of the shower, which really, is all that you might want on hot days spent outdoors. Fruity, fresh, bright but so familiar; got home sprayed my Valentino Born in Roma, is it just me or are they very similar!

Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. The sweetness and delicacy of its fruity-floral notes form a striking contrast with the strength of the L’Imperatrice muse, highlighting her irresistible confidence and force of character personified in one fragrance. Smells a bit synthetic straight out of the bottle, but I am obsessed with the dry down of this perfume!
