About this deal

Distinctive gift – The castle measures over 80 cm (31.5 in.) high, 59 cm (23 in.) wide and 33 cm (13 in.) deep, and makes a fun gift idea for yourself or anyone with a passion for Disney films Disney100 LEGO Sets & Minifigures Officially Announced Including DUPLO Castle with Platinum Character Costumes The set features 8 LEGO minifigures of iconic Disney Princess characters and their partners: Cinderella, Prince Charming, Snow White, Prince Florian, Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder Despite some slight colour issues, LEGO have done a great job translating these iconic characters to minifigures, and these minifigures alone are a huge drawcard to get the set, even if you have the original Disney Castle. About half of the bags are contained in an inner box, though they’re sadly not sorted by bag number—something LEGO has been frustratingly inconsistent about—so you’ll need to dump out all the bags to get started. There are 38 bags across 25 numbered sections, plus one unnumbered bag of large elements. Some newer sets we’ve opened have shifted to using unique bag numbers for every bag; that is, instead of having three bags labeled “1” like this set, they would be numbered 1, 2, and 3, respectively, and the numbers would simply run higher for the whole set. This is something more sets should adopt, especially when there are as many bags as this set has because it’s not always clear if any given number has more than one bag.

You’ve got lots of good stuff going on here.” continued Alex, noting the entire minifigure selection of 43222 Disney Castle. Tiago notes that finding a place big enough to keep 43222 Disney Castle is going to be a challenge in itself too. If you don’t own the original Disney Castle, this is clearly the definitive Disney Castle to get as o think it’s a big upgrade to the 2016 version, in most areas except for colour scheme, which is a more subjective preference.Up next we have Prince Charming and Cinderella – Cinderella has been a mainstay for the Disney Princess theme, appearing many times as minidolls, but this is her first outing as a minifigure and she looks absolutely dazzling. The golden accents are nice, when they’re against the blue spires, but I think in this case, there’s just a bit too much gold for my tastes. The new additions of the Fireworks are also a nice touch that add to the dynamism of the model. Size-wise, the 2023 LEGO Disney Castle is astonishing, blending a very aesthetically-pleasing colour scheme with awe-inspiring proportions that make this the new ultimate LEGO Disney centerpiece. The new LEGO | Disney Castle set is a homage of the iconic castle at the beginning of all Disney movies. The 4,837-piece features not only the castle building, but also references from 14 classic Disney films over the last 100 years, such as Steamboat Willie and Snow White (the first Disney Princess) to The Princess and the Frog and Moana. The set comes complete with eight minifigures, representing some of the Disney Princess characters and their male counterparts. Inside the castle is various rooms including a kitchen and dining room, a ballroom and bedroom. Each room has references to Disney films and characters and there is even a secret turret for fans to discover a Disney time capsule with references to the 100-year history. Outside, the castle is decorated with fireworks. But if you already own the original castle, it’s hard to make that same recommendation. It is undeniably similar to the 2016 version, as one would expect for a model representing the same real-world object at the same scale. If you simply glance at the two models, not comparing them side by side, it’s hard to see most of the differences apart from color. They’re so similar that even displaying them side-by-side on a shelf would look decidedly odd to casual visitors and non-AFOLs. So i f you’re an owner of the original, I think it would be hard to justify purchasing this set unless you’re the type of Disney fan who wants to own one of every Disney LEGO set for its own sake.

This is a stunning model, and features an all-new exterior colour, which matches the Disney 100 appearance of the castle at Disney World Florida, which has been refreshed to celebrate Disney’s centennary. Disney Castle is, much like its predecessor, rife with references and Easter eggs to the wider Disney portfolio. Thankfully, the instructions include a guide to most of these to save you from searching and overall confusion. That’s an interesting point of comparison to 71040 The Disney Castle but it is far from the only one that can be made. It’s better than 71040 The Disney Castle Image: Alex Nunes Disney Castle will be released on 1 July 2023 for LEGO VIPs, and will be available exclusively from LEGO.com or your local LEGO store. This is one of the LEGO summer waves that we know the least about right now, but that ultimately has some of the most potential for all of 2023. Disney is looking to celebrate its entire legacy with the 100th anniversary celebration, and so there really is so many different movies, shows, and properties that the collaboration can tap into.

Disney Castle’s various sections can be removed from one another to more easily move the model from place to place and there’s even a section of the instructions dedicated to proper handling. However, some early reviewers still needed convincing as to how convenient it is to move and display the larger 2023 model. This eye-catching set comes with a premium booklet featuring details about the castle and model concept, a designer interview and instructions to guide you through the build Who is this set for?Disney fans who want the ultimate Disney Castle display model, and those wanting to complete their Disney minifigure collection. Especially great for those that don’t own the 2016 Disney Castle, or have the budget and space for an upgrade. But my favourite Easter Egg is this cache of Walt Disney references, hidden inside one of the tower roofs.

Disney debuted a new short to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The studio brought more than 40 voice actors in to reprise their roles and pulled from the archives to use dialogue from past actors like Robin Williams as the Genie. “Once Upon a Studio” combines 2D and 3D animation alongside live action to create a tribute to the studio’s century-long legacy. The short will be attached to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Wish” upon its release later this year on November 22. The sand blue walls are by far my favourite feature, and fans of this rare colour will be delighted at the inclusion of all these lovely sand blue elements. Disney Princess fans will love exploring this set, with its 8 LEGO minifigures and an impressive, detailed castle full of classic film referencesShe’s not included in the set, but there’s the Magic Mirror from Snow White, which is the perfect place for the Evil Queen. more Disney murals will be popping up around the World that will be built entirely by fans at LEGO Stores in Manchester, Paris and New York. When all four murals are complete they will make their way to the LEGO House in Billund and be on display for visitors to appreciate. This premium, detailed LEGO set includes 8 minifigures of well-known characters from beloved Disney films – Disney's Cinderella, Prince Charming, Snow White, Prince Florian, Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder. The included minifigures can encourage younger kids' role-play fun, but the set isn't just a toy. This uniquely collectible castle also looks incredibly impressive on display. Safety first – LEGO components are dropped, heated, crushed, twisted and analysed to make sure they meet rigorous global safety standards The big drawcard of the set of course, are the new Disney princesses, with Cinderella, Snow White and Rapunzel making their debut as LEGO minifigures, as well as their male counterparts, which makes this almost a must-own for diehard Disney fans.

The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia is hosting Disney100: The Exhibition honoring The Walt Disney Company’s centennial. The exhibit includes a lifelike Walt Disney hologram. Disney100: The Exhibition will remain at The Franklin Institute through August 27 and in Munich through September 3. The North American installation will then tour cities such as Chicago and Kansas City, while the European installation will visit London and then other Europe and Asia destinations through 2028. For a set at this price range and scale, you can expect a massive and gorgeous display model that’s fit to be a LEGO Disney centerpiece, as well as a home for your LEGO Disney minifigures, especially the new Disney 100 Minifigures Share your love of Disney Princess characters and their partners with this LEGO ǀ Disney: Disney Castle (43222) set. Based on several well-known Disney Princess films, this detailed set showcases different rooms, classic Disney references, nostalgic details, plus a special time capsule commemorating 100 years of Disney films, all in a unique castle designed for display. It also features a spinning dance floor in the grand ballroom and an ‘enchanted' fireplace that rotates to reveal the iconic spinning wheel from the Sleeping Beauty film. All nine of the LEGO Disney 100th anniversary sets will be dropping later this year in the summer of 2023. These will be hitting store shelves a bit earlier than the rest of the lineup, with builds launching on June 1. We’re expecting to see the rest of the LEGO 2023 sets arrive in August, so this is going to be one of the earlier themes to get in on the mid-year release cycle. Also love this Do and Don’t diagram when it comes to lifting your LEGO Disney Castle. 43222 Disney Castle Minifigures After getting it all pieced together, there’s so much I want to talk about at both ends of the scale. On one hand, the kit is just so massive and demands a dedicated space to display it unlike almost any other build out there. The whole thing stands 31.5 inches tall while measuring 23 inches wide and 13 inches deep on the base. This isn’t going to fit into just any LEGO or Disney collection, but the display space this will take up is certainly worth it.
